Context
For my final internship at school, I didn't just want an easy internship that would make me graduate. I wanted a real world project. After speaking to contacts at Merford Noise Control we thought of a project to solve a problem they were having. To this day the app is still being used daily and has received great feedback from the project managers as well as the engineers.

Problem
Projects for engineers were being managed on paper. Because of this it would be hard to communicate changes in the project. Projects would get messy after some time because of all the manual work.

Solution
For this project, I partnered with another student. We wanted to focus on user-friendliness and speed. The app had to be used by people who wouldn't have the time to wait for a slow site. To achieve this speed, we decided to make an SPA.
We decided on making a centralized portal containing all the tools that were needed to fully manage the project. This included a PMS, a form creation tool, hour registration converters, a news system, and a certificate management system.
Users were divided into their respective roles, with each role having the ability to either manage the data or view it.

The outcome has been really positive. The app is being used every single day by the project managers as well as the engineers. We keep in close contact with the people responsible for giving us the opportunity to create this project.
